Gt Taylor Christmas Extravaganza is a Reggae Dancehall Stage Show that showcases some of the best Reggae & Dancehall artists in Jamaica.
This event brings people from all over Jamaica and the world to Luana Sports Complex in Black River St. Elizabeth.
GT Taylor Christmas Extravaganza’s main project in terms of charity is the St. Elizabeth Care Committee which assists the homeless with cloths, food and medication, also a scholarship for a child to attend Black River High School.
Awarded IRIE FM “Show of the Year” in 2007 and Links FM “Show of the Year” in 2010. The annual reggae stage show has become synonymous with Christmas night for music lovers throughout Jamaica.
Christmas Extravaganza is produced by IRIE FM personality GT Taylor and has enjoyed the support of Jamaica’s top artist over the 17th years of its’ staging, making the show one of the longest running annual reggae events in Jamaica and the only event of its kind in Southern Jamaica.
GT Taylor Christmas Extravaganza started out as a Dance in 2000 at Hendriks Wharf in Black River but was transformed into a stage show after two years due to the large crowd that it generated.
The show was moved from this venue in 2002 to Independence Park, Black River for two years and held on December 24th Christmas Eve.
In 2004 the show was moved to Front Hill Beach Park in the said parish, then in 2008 we returned to Independence Park on Christmas Night and presently at Luana Sports Complex which is more spacious and secure.
Christmas Extravaganza has now become one of the biggest event in this side of the Island.
